Cocktail time in the Seychelles

You may have noticed that over the last few years, cocktails have become very fashionable. The Seychelles is no exception and especially in its hotels where guests can enjoy rum infused with vanilla, tropical fruit or a seasonal liqueur. You can even sip a dry martini (shaken but not stirred) in the James Bond villa, named after the world famous secret agent created by Ian Fleming, who in search of inspiration for his next novel, would stay at the Seychelles Northolme Resort and Spa.

A Seychelles reference

The Northolme Resort and Spa in Mahé, a member of the prestigious Hilton group, is considered to be one of the Seychelles’ leading luxury hotels. Its charming, intimate bar, the Ocean View, is an ideal spot for a relaxing drink. The cocktail menu is extensive with mixtures ranging from the most classic to the most imaginative. If you’re looking for exoticism, try a “A la Créole”, a a rum cocktail blended with mango and vanilla ice cream.

With your feet in the water

When you’re ready to slow down your hectic way of life and rediscover the joys of total serenity and relaxation, there’s a place where guests can truly practice the art of living: the Sunset Pool bar, the combination bar-swimming pool at the Maia Luxury Resort and Spa on the island of Mahé. With your feet in the water, you can enjoy an exquisite cocktail as you watch the sun go down. Whether it’s a Gin Fizz, a Margarita, a Melon Zest or a Coco Loco, the drinks as colorful as they are delicious at the Constance Lémuria Resort in Praslin. While soaking in the pool, the bar proposes a choice of light meals, cocktails and refreshments in a laid back, relaxed setting.

Into the wild

At the Lo Brizan, the bar at the Labriz Silhouette Resort, experience a truly exceptional moment. In the heart of the only hotel on Silhouette Island, you can witness the spectacular panorama of Mont Dauban rising up to the sky, surrounded by a luxuriant forest opening onto the sea. The site is ideal for nature lovers. Don’t forget to try the Royal Rum Strawberry cocktail, a refreshing and fruity drink with subtle aromas of citrus fruit mixed into a base if rum and champagne. To the northeast of Mahé Island, North Island one of the rare granitic and hilly islands in the Seychelles is home to a resort with the same name. On this private island, a veritable sanctuary of gentle and preserved nature, you can experience the sensation of feeling alone in the world. However, if you have a strong craving for a cocktail, head for the Sunset bar on the other side of the island, just a five minute buggy ride across the tropical forest. Once you’re there and ensconced on the Grande Anse beach, you can enjoy the lovely sunset while sipping one of the bar’s famous cocktails with a base of fresh fruit and coconut often gathered before your very eyes.
