Often called the “pearl of the Pacific”, Bora Bora, part of French Polynesia, is considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful islands. The Dutch discovered this atoll which was inhabited by tribes that originated in Southeast Asia and Indonesia via the Fiji, Tonga and Samoan archipelago. The Leeward Islands - Iles-Sous-le-Vent - were all annexed by the French in 1888, after a long rivalry between the French and the English. The contemporary history of Bora Bora is closely linked to the American presence during the Second World War. It was they who built the landing strip that is still in use today. The island consists of an extinct volcano and a beautiful lagoon surrounded by a coral reef that protects the beaches from the caprices of the sea. Bora Bora receives more tourists than any other Polynesian island, in large part thanks to the proximity of Tahiti and its international airport. The 20,000 tourists who come here every year can consider themselves truly privileged. Nevertheless, this French territory has managed to protect its natural environment. Hotels for example, are rare and perfectly integrated into this little piece of heaven on earth.

The first impression one gets of the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa is the splendor of this end of the world site and the contrast of colors. Lush vegetation, a white sand beach and the transparent blue of the lagoon are hints of a vacation in paradise. The hotel is situated on an exceptional motu - islet. Its architecture and décor totally respect Polynesian traditions. The owners added all the necessary modern touches, but they did so with great discretion.

It’s hard to choose where to stay, since the bungalows are all in astounding locations. In a tropical garden, 20 suites are available for lovers of preserved vegetation and rare essences. 10 suites lie on the sand partially turned towards the outside world with their own terrace, solarium, Jacuzzi and the bathroom in the garden itself, giving guests complete calm and tranquility. Above the lagoon, the bungalows on stilts are ideal for the feeling of being in another world. Spacious, very comfortable and hospitable, they have a unique view Mount Otemanu and easy access to the sea from everywhere. The low table and the night table have glass surfaces so that guests can observe the underwater fauna. In the bathroom equipped with a shower and a bathtub, the transparent spaces enable guests to remain in contact with the sea.

The Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa provides a number of dining possibilities. There are no less than four restaurants each with its own specialty and each open at different hours of the day or night. The Tevairoa offers a refined international cuisine, the Miki Miki is located around the swimming pool, the Ambrosia is noted for its Italian dishes and the Taurearea enables guests to have a drink late into the night. The hotel offers so many leisure activities that time passes too quickly here. The large fresh water swimming pool, the movie theatre, tennis courts and game room compete with the pleasures of the lagoon.

The furnished coral garden is maintained by the Toa Nui Association for the Protection of Coral. The garden highlights the growth of young polyps transplanted onto coral layers. The association participates in the protection of living coral while it embellishes the depths of the Bora Bora lagoon.
