The Es Saadi hotel complex, nestled in Marrakech’s Hivernage, welcomes its guests on a green eight hectare property bathed in eastern aromas. This resort proposes different kinds of accommodations, all of them very upscale. The original hotel with its 1950s architecture has 150 luxury rooms of which 8 are bungalows with their own private swimming pools. The more recent and typically oriental palace has 90 rooms and suites with a view of either the Atlas or the gardens and all decorated with traditional carpets, local craft work, thick curtains and colored fabrics designed for a maximum of comfort. Finally, ten villas with enchanting names, veritable small palaces, are decorated in traditional oriental style. They are spacious and romantic and all equipped with a heated pool and the services of a private butler. Several restaurants and bars and two spas complete the avalanche of services at this ultra luxurious and charmingly retro resort. Es Saadi is a veritable oasis of peace, relaxation and traditional hospitality.

Marrakesh

Marrakesh is a multi-faceted city which more and more tourists throughout the world come to discover every year. The old city, commonly called the medina, is the historical center. It’s here that we find the famous Moroccan souks, with their thousands of local craftsmen. Although at first glance, total disorder seems to reign supreme, in reality, the souks are organized according to individual crafts and trades. For example, the Ahiak souk is the place to go if you’re looking for fabrics or clothing. Leather bags can be found in the El Kebir souk and the famous Rabia souk is known for the splendor of its and its wide variety of traditional carpets. It’s also here in the medina that the city’s legendary monuments are located like the superb Koutoubia mosque, the celebrated Jemaa el Fna square with its snake charmers and the magnificent 16th century Badii Palace. On the edge of the medina, Marrakesh spreads out a bit and new, more modern quarters have appeared. The Hivernage is a case in point, with its increased number of hotel complexes and luxury villas. It’s here that we find young Moroccans, restaurants and the trendiest spots in the city.

A peaceful and sumptuous family resort

Nestled in the heart of the Hivernage quarter, the Es Saadi hotel complex stretches over eight hectares of greenery and eastern fragrances. Jean Baucher, the hotel’s founder, also created the Marrakesh Casino in 1952, the first in Morocco. The complex proposes different kinds of accommodations, all of the upscale variety. The hotel, with its 1950s architecture, has 150 rooms all renovated in 2005 including 15 luxury apartments with loggias and 8 bungalows with a private swimming pool.

The palace, more recent and typically oriental, possesses 90 rooms and suites with a view of either the Atlas or the gardens, all decorated with beautiful carpets, locally crafted objects, thick curtains and colorful fabrics. A 2,400 square meter swimming pool of which 300-square meters are heated in winter is available to guests. Finally, 10 villas with enchanting names like the Maharajah and Thousand and One Nights are like small palaces, with very special decorations in oriental, traditional or romantic style and even in the style of a sumptuous ancient Roman villa. They are all spacious, with a heated swimming pool and include the services of a private butler.

Several restaurants and bars are available to guests staying either at the hotel or the palace and propose both local and international dishes. Special mention must be made of the gastronomic restaurant and the use of fresh fruits and vegetables from the neighboring organic farm. There are also two restaurants in the adjacent casino.

The oriental spa of the palace with its hammam and solarium is designed for guests seeking peace of mind and body through treatments and massages administered by talented expert hands.

Although equipped with the most modern technology, the entire staff of professionals whose goal is to meet your demands and desires, make this place a charming, retro oasis of peace and relaxation, destined for quality guests who are sensitive to the atmosphere and to the availability of the personnel who are delighted to perpetuate the best in traditional Moroccan hospitality. Our entire staff is proud of “its” house, and is always attentive to your needs so that you have the best vacation possible. Our greatest reward is the fact that one third of our guests return every year to spend a few days in “their” Es Saadi Marrakesh.” – Elisabeth Baucher-Bouhlal, director of the Es Saadi Gardens & Resort.
